RFID
RFID is a technology that uses radio waves to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects or individuals. RFID systems typically consist of three components: a tag (or transponder), a reader, and a database. The RFID tag contains information about the object or person to which it is attached. The reader emits radio waves that activate the RFID tag, and the tag responds by transmitting its information back to the reader.
